Where Is Monkeypox Now?
Friends and Monkeys,
Many are speculating on the whereabouts of Monkeypox, as well as where they stand in today's ever-changing marketplace. I have heard the many rumors, and I have seen the truth. The members of Monkeypox are all good friends of mine, and have been for quite some time. I was always happy to praise their music in their liner notes, and to hold their hair back when they had to vomit. They have expressed a need to reach out to their fans, who feel confused and alone in their absence. So, once again, they have asked me to set the record straight. To make things a bit clearer in light of all of these inquiries, here is a brief update on the band and its members:
Junior Bevel was recently arrested in Aruba for charges still unknown. Shortly before his incarceration, he expressed a desire to return to his roots. He had quit music altogether and was in training to once again have a go at a spot on the Olympian Track & Field team for Aruba. With any luck, and provided that bail is set at a reasonable amount, he'll get his shot.
Maurier wrapped filming on both "In Limbo" and "Cookie Girls" completely burnt out from movies. He is now rediscovering his love for music (his music, that is) and has already written two thirds worth of material for a Full Length solo album, titled "Rock And Roll". The album will feature "I Am God pt. II" a sequel to the song "I Am God" from Maurier's solo EP, as well as the club hit "Haircut" and a cover of the cherished Captain Beefheart classic, "Bluejeans And Moonbeams". The album should be released by Thanksgiving.
After the controversy surrounding Ahmed Imo-Tep's disappearance, he finally surfaced in the hills of Idaho. He was actually hiding from a group of ex-wives looking for money and a kidney transfusion. Ahmed is now "Just trying to, like, l-live my wife, um, I mean life".
Johnson Jackson has secured a publishing deal through Bubrakow to release his first literary work in a decade, a volume of poems entitled "What Is Your Name?". The book will be released this Halloween and will feature illustrations by the author himself. Johnson has also expressed interest to recapture the solo magic that once was his and is set to enter the studio to record a full length album once book promotion is over.
Monkeypox, as a band, is not a functional unit, at the moment. They still have the film "In Limbo" to release this fall, as well as a soundtrack to the film and possibly a Best Of compilation, in order to fulfill contractual obligations. Time will only tell if the lives of these four men will cross paths once again. The world, at present time, is mourning their loss.

| AHMED IMO-TEP LASHES OUT AT INTERVIEWER
Ahmed Imo-Tep, Monkeypox's new Saudi Arabian drummer, got extreme and violent after a question about how his mother pronouces his name was asked during a recent interview for podmego.com.
Thankfully, the band was alert and quickly held Imo-Tep back before and harm could be executed. During this same interview, which is available for free as a special rock podcast at the spankin' new podmego.com, Maurier Debbouze also faced a couple tough moments where both the other band members and interviewer weren't sure if the "loose cannon" was going to explode. Imo-Tep's attorney was the only person available for comment as soon as this incident was reported and defends Imo-Tep's actions as self-defense and plans to get Imo-Teps' mom to be charged for assault through her sons action.
